Alina Santander Vinokurova

I was born in La Paz, Bolivia. I am currently studying Mechatronic Engineering at Vaughn College and Physics at UMSA. Since I was little, I have been fascinated by the world of aeronautics and aerospace. I am a gold and bronze medal winner at the Student Scientific Olympiad in Physics, Astronomy, and Astrophysics from 2013 to 2017 and represented Bolivia at the OLAA. I was the first Bolivian to participate in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge, in which I won first places with my team. I am the current SWE (Society of Women Engineers) club president at my college and participated in the NASA L ’SPACE Academy in 2020. My goal is to create paths for more people to have the necessary opportunities to fulfill their dreams in the aeronautical and aerospace areas. In addition, I work to motivate more women to join these fields.
