Scholarship

One of the important ways that IAWA supports the professional development of women is through its IAWA Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to women students majoring in Aviation Law, Management, Business or Finance.  Each year the IAWA Board works with designated schools to identify scholarship candidates.  Since IAWA’s inception of the Scholarship program in 2004, IAWA has awarded ten scholarships to four universities.

The Board of Directors in 2006 voted to award scholarships to three schools:

The Scholarship Committee continues to keep in touch with former IAWA scholarship winners and provides them with mentoring.

The 2009 International IAWA Scholarship was given to Ana Cristina Galhego Rosa, a student at Leiden University in October, 2009, during IAWA's Annual Conference in Belgium .

The 2009 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Scholarship has been awarded to Ms. Karolyn Campbell.

The 2010 SMU IAWA scholarship winner was Ms. Courtney Elizabeth Clegg who attends the Dedman School of Law at SMU.

The 2009 McGill University Scholarship was presented at the McGill Conference in Montreal, Canada, on October 29-31 to the winner, Rachel Pachoud.
